The site presents data from the 1997 U.S. Census of Agriculture extracted for California and sorted by county, including state and county highlights and county profiles (brief summary data and charts). Graphics include statewide data charts. Includes ordering information for various other publications.

"This full-text report, issued four times yearly, presents data on the U.S. pig crop for 17 major states and the U.S., including inventory number by class, weight group, and value of hogs and pigs, farrowings, farrowing intentions. Also includes the number of operations keeping hogs, the number of hog operations and percent of inventory by size groups." Includes reports back to 1968. National Agricultural Statistics Service: Prospective Plantings view detail comment email this

This annual publication, released in late March, "reports the expected plantings as of March 1" for corn, soybeans, wheat, cotton, and other major crops grown by U.S. farmers.
