This site provides access to scanned images of recent issues of dozens of small town newspapers from throughout the United States. "Newspapers are updated periodically, 2-3 weeks after publication." The site also includes a searchable archive (of articles, photos, and advertisements), which covers different periods for each paper, some as far back as the 1890s. Access to the archives requires free registration.
