Preview Film shows stills from the actual film clips, which are often several minutes long and which you get by using the Download Now button and filling out a brief registration form. The site features a list of available films, and a variety of teaching and resource materials, including bibliographies, information about DEFA film criticism, a list of archives and study centers, a discussion list, and related links. They are mostly "ephemeral films" made between 1927 and 1987, often educational and propaganda films shown in schools and to army personnel, promotions of products or companies, and news features.
