 The purpose of the California Oak Mortality Task Force is to address "elevated levels of oak mortality in California resulting from Sudden Oak Death (SOD)." The site focuses on the symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of sudden oak death, which is caused by a pathogen called Phytophthora ramorum.
