"ISS EarthKAM [International Space Station Earth Knowledge Acquired by Middle school students] is a NASA sponsored program that provides stunning, high quality photographs of our planet taken from the Space Shuttle and International Space Station. Since 1996, ISS EarthKAM students have taken thousands of photographs of Earth by using the world wide web to direct a digital camera." Here are "high-resolution, detailed imagery of significant environmental events which are visible in remotely-sensed data available at the NOAA Science Center in Suitland, Maryland." Satellite time lapse and still images, often visually appealing, display major dust storms, fires, floods, icebergs, ocean events, severe weather, snow, cyclones, hurricanes, typhoons, volcanoes, and "Unique Imagery." Includes current events and a daily report. There are links to further information.
