The site includes the National Film Registry, documents related to film preservation research, and the directory "Public Motion Picture Research Centers and Film Archives." National Film Preservation Foundation (NFPF) view detail comment email this

The NFPF is "the nonprofit organization created by the U.S. Congress to help save America's film heritage." The organization awards grants and funds cooperative projects. Browse lists of film archives throughout the United States and the hundreds of films the NFPF has saved. Includes basic information on film preservation and highlights its preservation efforts through the site feature Orphan [Film] of the Month, alternative films that "fall outside the scope of commercial perservation programs."
