Websites presented in alphabetical order American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Information about programs offered by the ASPCA, such as pet therapy, pet loss counseling, volunteering, their cruelty task force, and more. Tip sheets are available for care of common pets including dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, and rabbits, along with helpful information about transporting your pet by car or airplane. The site provides information about animals available for adoption, and ARF programs and events. Information is primarily useful to those in Contra Costa County, but site also provides resources and links to general information for dog and cat owners. The site provides an overview of this refuge for unwanted, abused, sick, or elderly adoptable animals. Dalmatians have the highest incidence. The Fund's mission is to educate about and provide funding for improving and saving the lives of all deaf dogs. It also rescues animals from disasters, such as Hurricane Katrina. The site provides information about the organization, adoptions, and rescue efforts. The Library includes articles on pet care, animal behavior and training, breed information, and shelter operations. Also provides guidelines for rescued pigs, and vegetarian recipes (including a meat-free version of a BLT). You can also search using an organization name.
