The Tunesmiths section contains short biographical information on hundreds of popular music composers and lyricists. Searchable by band name, musician, song title, or other keyword and browsable by region (American, Canadian, British, European).

Western swing music came out of country dance halls in Texas and Oklahoma in the 1930s. It was a crossover blend of swing and country music played by bands such as the Light Crust Doughboys with fiddler Bob Wills. This site includes a list of western swing organizations, a calendar of events, a browsable list of CDs, and related links.
