Roughly chronological, the list is arranged within subject headings: Christian upbringing, etiquette, nurses, girl detectives, outdoors and adventure, tomboys and working girls, and heroines. These titles are drawn from the collection at the Sallie Bingham Center for Women's History and Culture at Duke University.
