The site for DONA (Doulas of North America) explains the work of the doula, who is "a knowledgeable, experienced companion who stays with [pregnant women] through labor, birth and beyond" (they do not perform the kind of clinical tasks midwives or nurses do). Also provides information on the training and education of doulas, how to locate one, studies of the effectiveness of doulas, and a collection of links to other birth-related sites.

"PHA is a non-profit, San Diego based organization with the purpose of promoting the emotional and physical well-being of parents and their children after childbirth." The site features a FAQ and a brochure that describes symptoms of abnormal baby blues, and postpartum depression, anxiety, and psychosis. The brochure includes a self-screening test for depression and anxiety. Also includes a bibliography and links to related sites.
